The Olean Huskies fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Westfield Wolverines on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 74-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Carson Swanson had an outrageously good game for Westfield as he scored 34 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Swanson has scored at least 25% of Westfield's points. Another player making a difference was Carter Russo, who scored 11 points.
Olean's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Westfield, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
