The Pioneer Panthers had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were the victim of a tough 59-38 defeat at the hands of Logansport on Tuesday. Pioneer lost against Logansport in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-25 score last time.
Logansport's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Loran Taylor, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Russell, who scored 17 points.
Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Logansport, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Pioneer will head out on the road to face off against Triton at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Logansport, they will face off against Caston at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Caston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday.
