Softball Recap: Seminary Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Seminary walked away with it. They never let the South Pike Eagles get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Seminary's third in a row) raised their record to 11-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Pike, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Seminary will have a chance to go back-to-back against South Pike: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
