The Chinle Wildcats had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They took down Ganado 56-37. That's another feather in the cap for Chinle, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chinle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jostaiah Harvey, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The match was Harvey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Antwian Bahe, who scored nine points.
Loss or not, Ganado got some senior leadership from Ethan Billy who scored 12 points along with three blocks and Grant Paddock who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Chinle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ganado, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-4.
Chinle has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Tuba City at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Tuba City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Chinle is ranked 145th). As for Ganado, they will head out on the road to face off against Snowflake at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
