It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Ringling Blue Devils ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They snuck past Forestburg with a 59-54 win.
Forestburg's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brenna Briles, who scored 13 points along with 7 steals and 5 assists. Briles is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Braylee Briles, who scored 13 points.
The win got Ringling back to even at 1-1. As for Forestburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ringling will challenge Walters at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walters is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Forestburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Prairie Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. The timing isn't great for Prairie Valley: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Forestburg has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
