Linganore is 8-2 against Tuscarora since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Linganore Lancers will head out on the road to face off against the Tuscarora Titans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Linganore came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Towson 67-47. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for Linganore this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linganore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Petruzzello, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Petruzzello hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for four straight games. Dylan Hodgson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tuscarora had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Brunswick by a score of 63-52 on Friday. The win was just what Tuscarora needed coming off of a 75-48 loss in their prior contest.
The win got Linganore back to even at 10-10. As for Tuscarora, their victory bumped their record up to 2-15.
Linganore strolled past Tuscarora when the teams last played back in January by a score of 72-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Linganore since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
