On Tuesday, King faced Wayne Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The King Crusaders lost 70-44 to the Wayne Memorial Zebras. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Wayne Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carlos Medlock Jr led the charge by going 9-for-14 on his way to 21 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Medlock Jr has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Austin Tory was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Wayne Memorial, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-3.

King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wayne Memorial, they will take on Carman-Ainsworth in a tournament on Friday.
