Baseball Recap: Dixon's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dixon entered their tilt with Belvidere on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Bucs.

Jake Zepezauer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. Zepezauer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Jake Whelan was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5. Exadrian Diaz was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Dixon's record is now 3-1. As for Belvidere, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixon will challenge Genoa-Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Belvidere, they will square off against Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
