The Esparto Spartans had to endure a 16-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against San Juan on Friday as Esparto made off with a 48-28 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Esparto has managed all season.
It was another big night for Antonio Seastrunk Jr., who scored 12 points along with three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Colt Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Esparto's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15. As for San Juan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
