Softball Recap: Harvard-Westlake Has No Trouble Against Chavez

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burroughs, Harvard-Westlake was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Chavez Eagles with a sharp 18-2 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Harvard-Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Harvard-Westlake will be taking part in a tournament against Granada Hills Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Harvard-Westlake 3.7, Granada Hills Charter 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Chavez, they are on the road again on Saturday to play West at 11:00 a.m. West's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Chavez's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
