Basketball Recap: Savannah Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

While Savannah didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Bishop LeBlond Eagles by a score of 40-27 on Monday. Given the Savages' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Eagles are ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Savannah's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Bishop LeBlond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Savannah is taking a road trip to square off against Plattsburg at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Bishop LeBlond, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lafayette County at 12:30 p.m.
