The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-34 walloping at the hands of Westover Christian Academy. Timberlake Christian has not had much luck with Westover Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Timberlake Christian had strong showings from Adrian Warrick, who scored 11 points, and Matthew Howe, who scored nine points.
Westover Christian Academy was led to victory by Caleb Hill and Malachai Waller. Hill scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Waller dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Hardy, who scored eight points.
Timberlake Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Westover Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timberlake Christian will square off against Westover Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westover Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.3 points per game. They won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cave Spring at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Cave Spring presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westover Christian Academy in Virginia (Cave Spring is ranked 104th, while Westover Christian Academy is ranked 346th).
