Kings Mountain won the last time they faced Forestview and things went their way  on Friday too. The Mountaineers were the clear victors by  a  9-3 margin over the Jaguars. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won six contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Gavyn Manion looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Kings Mountain is 4-1 when  Manion allows one or  fewer  earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise.
 At the plate,  Carter Roberts was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Kings Mountain: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Luke Heavner, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Kings Mountain now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Forestview, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kings Mountain will welcome South Point  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Forestview, they will host Shelby  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
