You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Patrick Henry Academy's strategy against Andrew Jackson Academy on Saturday. The Patrick Henry Academy Patriots came out on top against the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors by a score of 43-31. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 47-34 defeat.

Patrick Henry Academy had a senior duo take command as Lillian Lucas posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals and Laney Futch dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Futch is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Saquoia Sexton, who put up seven points.

Patrick Henry Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Andrew Jackson Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryleigh Trivette, who had seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of McKinnley Beard, who posted seven points.

Patrick Henry Academy's record now sits at 7-4. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Patrick Henry Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-41 victory against Cathedral Academy on the 13th. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will challenge Holy Trinity Classical Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
