Midway has gone a perfect 6-0 against St. Pauls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Raiders will square off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Midway is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Midway's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Red Springs with a sharp 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Samantha Carter and Ella Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Carter went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Clark went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Carter a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Karabeth Benton, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Midway lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. Pauls posted their closest win since March 25th on Tuesday. They skirted past Heide Trask 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Kayla Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Angel Purcell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Ke'Mya Baldwin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Midway's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for St. Pauls, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Midway was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Pauls in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 8-4. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
