After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Celina, The Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They breezed by North Dallas at home to the tune of 27-0. The result was nothing new for Wilmer-Hutchins, who have now won five matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Wilmer-Hutchins found their leader in underclassman Tamajae Mcmillon, who threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Taylor Pierce was another key contributor, throwing for 59 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
Wilmer-Hutchins' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Christopher Wade and Tyren Davis who racked up four sacks between them.
Wilmer-Hutchins' win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points per game. As for North Dallas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Coincidentally, Wilmer-Hutchins and North Dallas will both be playing Carter the next time they take the field. North Dallas will host Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Wilmer-Hutchins will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd.
