The Pyramid Lake Lakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 66-61 victory over Bishop Union. The victory was just what Pyramid Lake needed coming off of a 70-33 loss in their prior matchup.
Pyramid Lake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Takoda Rivers, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rivers has scored at least 25% of Pyramid Lake's points. Rylen Patrick was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
The victory got Pyramid Lake back to even at 3-3. As for Bishop Union, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Pyramid Lake and Mammoth will face off at 3:15 p.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mammoth is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Bishop Union won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Owyhee at 9:00 a.m. on December 9th. Owyhee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bishop Union in their respective states (Owyhee is ranked sixth in Nevada, while Bishop Union is ranked 533rd in California).
