Basketball Recap: Jimtown Drops Highest Score of Season Against South Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jimtown). They strolled past the South Central Satellites with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-32. This was payback for the Jimmies, who suffered a 55-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jimtown was led to victory by Lily Gaugler and Kiera Jackson. Gaugler went 5 for 8 en route to 20 points and five rebounds, while Jackson posted ten points and six boards. What's more, Jackson also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Williams, who had four points.

Jimtown was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Lexi Johnson and Samantha Marks certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Johnson scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Marks put up 12 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Marks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-19. As for South Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Jimtown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-20 win against Trinity Greenlawn on the 30th. As for South Central, they have also already played their next game, a 62-54 loss against Oregon-Davis on the 30th.
