Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Midway Vikings, falling 15-5. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked the Bears' highest-scoring game to date.

Butler's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Midway, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler will square off against Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midway, they will head out to face off against Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
