Make it 11 blowout wins for the Boles Hornets this season. They breezed by Como-Pickton on the road to the tune of 70-27 on Tuesday. The win was just what Boles needed coming off of a 69-47 defeat in their prior match.
Boles got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zion Mcfadden out in front who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Cruthird, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Boles' win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Como-Pickton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-23 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boles will face off against the Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Cumby is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Como-Pickton, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Fruitvale and five for the Eagles.
