The Virgin Valley Bulldogs will challenge the Pine View Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Virgin Valley's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Pine View has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Virgin Valley's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Valley. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Mady Wright made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed over her last nine contests. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted over her last nine matchups.

In other batting news, Raylynn Woods was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Owsley, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
Virgin Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley only posted an OBP of .385.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pine View ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Canyon View, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted against the Falcons since May 10, 2016.
Genevieve Evans was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Kylie Carpenter was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Virgin Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Pine View, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Virgin Valley took their victory against Pine View when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 15-1. Will Virgin Valley repeat their success, or does Pine View has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
