Science Hill is 0-10 against Maryville since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Science Hill Hilltoppers will be playing at home against the Maryville Red Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Science Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Science Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over Dobyns-Bennett. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Science Hill was the better team in the second half.
Among those leading the charge was Baylor Necessary, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Maryville scored first but ultimately less than Farragut in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of the Admirals by a score of 13-10.
Science Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Maryville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Things could have been worse for Science Hill, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-18 loss to Maryville when the teams last played back in September. Will Science Hill have more luck at home instead of on the road?
