The Orange Lions were the 56-47 winner over the Mineral Ridge Rams when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Orange took a hard 64-46 fall against Mineral Ridge on Saturday.
Mineral Ridge was led to victory by Gianna Gilbert and Ava Hulett. Gilbert scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds, while Hulett scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hulett has scored at least 25% of Mineral Ridge's points. Kelcee Dye was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Orange's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Mineral Ridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Orange will head out on the road to face off against West Geauga at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Mineral Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
