The Southern Rams waltzed into their contest Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Hereford 62-37. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Southern has managed all season.
Southern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jared Haskiell out in front who scored 17 points. The game was Haskiell's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Keller, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Southern's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hereford, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-7 record last season and are now at 2-5.
Southern won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wheeling Central Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023. Wheeling Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Southern likes a good challenge. Hereford won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Armstrong on December 28, 2023. Armstrong is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55 points per game.
