The Hoover Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The contest between Hoover and Poca wasn't particularly close, with Hoover falling 38-24. Hoover lost against Poca in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 49-43 score last time.
Despite the loss, Hoover saw an underclassman step up: Bella Haas scored 7 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Poca to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lindzie Runions, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shiloh Harding, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Poca, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 2-3 record.
Hoover will take on Sissonville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poca, they will head out on the road to face off against Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
