Mead is 8-2 against Longmont since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mavericks will be playing at home against the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Longmont took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Mead, who comes in off a win.

Mead had won three straight road games and Alana Costello did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Mavericks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Broomfield thanks in part to Costello, who had 21 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Mead was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-19, 22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 16-14.
Mead relied on the efforts of Lily Kimrey, who had seven digs and two aces, and Emmy Tecu, who had eight digs.
They weren't the only good servers: Mead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Longmont didn't have quite enough to beat Monarch on Friday and fell 3-2. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Longmont wouldn't go down easily and took Monarch into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 25-9, 16-25, 18-16.
Mead's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Longmont, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
Mead took their win against Longmont in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
