Meanwhile, South Plantation waltzed into their match Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 win over Grace Baptist Academy.
South Plantation had a senior duo take command as Austin Howe dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds and Kaiden Francis went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 3 assists. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dwight Stephens, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Impact Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for South Plantation, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Friday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Impact Christian Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 18.8 rebounds per game. It's a different story for South Plantation, though, as they've been averaging only 29.5 rebounds per game. Given Impact Christian Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, South Plantation will need to find a way to close that gap.
