Stratford lost against Cypress Falls back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The  contest between the Spartans and the Eagles didn't end well, with the Spartans falling  55-37. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Cody Hanlen, who picked up 115 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jake Weinhardt, who picked up 74 receiving yards and one  TD.
 Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Hanlen, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cypress Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Gabriel Wilson, who rushed for 182 yards and a pair of  scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance,  Wilson is now averaging an impressive 104.6  rushing yards per game. Cypress Falls also got a significant boost from  Deron Simpson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 157 yards.
Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Cypress Falls, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford will host Cypress Ridge  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cypress Falls, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Cy-Fair  at 7:00  p.m. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least 31  points  in their last five matchups.
