The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Walton at home and fell 63-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Bay Haven Academy has scored all season.
Walton had a senior duo take command as Jawann Campbell scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals and Antoine Morris scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Luke Kring, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
North Bay Haven Academy dropped their record down to 2-19 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Walton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Bay Haven Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mosley at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Mosley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully North Bay Haven Academy likes a good challenge. As for Walton, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against South Walton at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully South Walton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Wednesday.
