The Muleshoe Mules lost against the Denver City Mustangs on January 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Muleshoe took a hard 56-37 fall against the Mustangs. Muleshoe has not had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Muleshoe had strong showings from Sebastian Kirven, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds, and Adam Alarcon, who scored 13 points. That was a full 35.1% of Muleshoe's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Muleshoe dropped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Denver City, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Dimmitt the next time they take the court. Muleshoe will host the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
