Triway extended the longest winning streak in Principals this week by beating Wauseon, 26-21. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Triway moved up to 84 from 161 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tony lee's team climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Indians 26-21.
The Titans' dynamic duo of Parker Carmichael and Troy Haven proved to be unstoppable against Wauseon, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Carmichael threw for 323 yards and 4 touchdowns and Haven had 177 yards receiving. Jordon Miller helped Triway's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 129 yards.
He went 29-42 with 1 interception.
6-foot-4 quarterback hunter wells of Fairless is the league leader in passing yards this season with 3,395. He has also thrown 32 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Graham Miller. The Tuslaw star has 65 catches for 1,074 yards.
Triway's Haven is only 93 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Kenton. He has recorded 93 catches for 907 yards this year.
The Falcons' offense has recorded 438 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Manchester has permitted only 197 on the year.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Fairless and the Panthers face off next week.
A big matchup in Principals this week will be when Manchester takes on Don Wilson's team. Jim France's team is in second place, while the Falcons are in fourth place.
There should be lots of points scored when the Panthers and Fairless face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Manchester comes in having scored 362 this season, while the Falcons have scored 438. The Panthers scored 19 points last week as they beat Ursuline.
Manchester and the Fighting Irish played the most contested game in the league this week, with Manchester eventually emerging with a 19-16 victory. Mason Hayes ran for 145 yards in the win.
