The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fullerton in their matchups with Sonora: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Fullerton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Devin Duran. Despite the final result, he scored eight points. Baylor Wilks was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Fullerton has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Sonora, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-7.
