Hope Christian faced Eldorado in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Huskies' defense stepped up to hand the Golden Eagles a 3-0 shutout. Fans of Hope Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Mason Ricker and Brooklyn Fankam scored all three of Hope Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Hope Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Eldorado, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1-1.

When Hope Christian and Eldorado next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Huskies will square off against Moriarty and their five-game winning streak at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eldorado will try to stop Manzano's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
