Holy Cross fell just short of the Guardians by a score of 52-49. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Holy Cross in their matchups with the Guardians: they've now lost nine in a row.
Holy Cross lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jonathan Vasquez, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Cirlos, who scored nine points along with three steals and two blocks.
Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for John Paul II, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.
Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. John Paul II also has no future games currently scheduled.
