The Central Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Miami Springs for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-32 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Central as they're now sitting on four straight.
Central found their leader in underclassman Willie Dye III, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dye III has scored all season. Dwight Carter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Central's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Miami Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will square off against Coral Reef at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Coral Reef knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge. As for Miami Springs, they will head out on the road to challenge Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Hialeah-Miami Lakes is ranked 747th, while Miami Springs is ranked 745th).
