Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Emerald Ridge's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Emerald Ridge won the last time they faced Curtis and things went their way on Monday too. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 19-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won eight matchups by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Robillard was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Robillard, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Emerald Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Emerald Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Curtis, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Emerald Ridge will host Bonney Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Curtis, they will venture away from home to take on Puyallup at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
