Having just played yesterday, the Trinity Catholic Celtics will jump right back in to play the Springstead Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.
Trinity Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They strolled past Chiefland with points to spare, taking the game 66-51. The Celtics' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Alessa Washington, who went 11-for-23 to rack up 26 points along with six assists and six steals. She has become a key player for Trinity Catholic: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellie Grant, who posted seven points in addition to eight steals and six assists.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Springstead's strategy against Central on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Bears out of the water with a 64-6 final score. That 58-point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.
Trinity Catholic better keep an eye on Michelle Ramirez-Hoyos. She was instrumental in Springstead's win, shooting 40% from the field on her way to 23 points along with eight boards and five assists. Those five assists gave Ramirez-Hoyos a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariana Willoughby, who went 5-for-6 en route to 14 points and four steals.
Springstead smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Springstead pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.9 points on average over those games. As for Trinity Catholic, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Trinity Catholic has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Springstead struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.3 boards.
