The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons lost against the Central Chargers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Academy for Classical Education ended up on the wrong side of a rough 74-50 walloping at the hands of the Chargers. Academy for Classical Education has not had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Gryphons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylon Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Vincent, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Academy for Classical Education has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14.
Academy for Classical Education will face off against the Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Greenwave at 7:30 p.m. Spencer presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Chargers in Georgia (the Greenwave are ranked 170th, while the Chargers are ranked 426th).
