The Alvarado Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Kennedale with a sharp 61-38 win on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Alvarado also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Leading Alvarado to victory were Candra Bridgewater and Joslyn Jarmon. Bridgewater scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Jarmon scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jarmon has scored at least 25% of Alvarado's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Cross, who scored no points along with six steals.
Alvarado's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-14. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.33 points. As for Kennedale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alvarado will take on Life Waxahachie at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Waxahachie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1095th, while Alvarado is ranked 497th). As for Kennedale, they will be playing at home against Ferris at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
