V Section V recap November 19, 2013
Round Valley added to the longest winning streak in V Section V this week by beating Tempe Prep, 26-7. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
St. Johns lost to Yuma Catholic 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Redskins' Riley Raban and Jake Zieler have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Raban has thrown for 1,094 yards this season, while Zieler has 24 catches for 517 yards. Shem Bowman from Holbrook leads the league in rushing with 975 yards.
In 120 carries Bowman has put up 975 yards this year.
Round Valley made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,302 from 3,562. The advance stemmed from a 26-7 victory over the Knights last week.
