Jalen Wheeler and Justin Foster provided fans with a highlight when they connected against South Hunterdon. The longest such play in Mid-State 38 - Hills this season, the connection resulted in 58 yards.
Bound Brook moved up to 206 from 248 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Crusaders climbed the ranks as a result of a 28-24 win over the Eagles.
Bound Brook's dynamic duo of Wheeler and Jack Welti proved tough for South Hunterdon to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wheeler threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns and Welti had 119 yards receiving. Isaiah Williams helped Bound Brook's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 106 yards.
Toby Coleman was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 148 yards on 15 carries as the Eagles beat the Eagles. Devon Troutman also contributed to the rushing game with 113 yards on the ground.
Bound Brook's Wheeler and Williams have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mid-State 38 - Hills in both passing and receiving yards. Wheeler has thrown for 1203 yards this season, while Williams, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 24 catches for 532 yards. South Hunterdon's Troutman leads the league in rushing yards with 446.
The Crusaders and the Eagles played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Crusaders eventually emerging with a 28-24 victory. Wheeler in the win.
