Harlem came out on top against Boylan Catholic  on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Huskies blew past the Titans 14-3. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Rylie Adams was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Harlem let  Addie Henderson and  Adriah Sholl run wild. Henderson  went 3-for-5 with one  home run and two  RBI, while  Sholl  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That  home run was  Henderson's first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Aubrey Burbach, who  went 2-for-5 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
The  win (which was Harlem's fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-7. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Boylan Catholic, their defeat was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 8-10.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harlem is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Belvidere North  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Huskies 3.4, the Blue Thunder 3.6) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic will  take on  rival Hononegah  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
