1A District 2 recap October 8, 2013
St. Edmond added to the longest winning streak in 1A District 2 this week by beating IKM/Manning, 35-7. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Gaels.
Ridge View took down Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto 56-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when St. Edmond takes on Northwest Webster. Dick Tighe's team is currently in first, while the Cougars are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Gaels take on Northwest Webster. St. Edmond has allowed 42 points this season, while Jeff Anliker's team has given up 101.
The Raptors led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Rams.
