LOUISE, Texas - the Beavers had a big 27-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 48-0 victory over Louise (Texas).
Falls City scored on four rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including two by
Cameron Soto.
FC was up 34-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Soto touchdown run in the first quarter.
The Beavers expanded their lead to 48 points entering the fourth quarter. Falls City scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Dean Gaskamp.
With the win FC extended its winning streak to five games. The Beavers defeated the Eagles 30-22 last week.
Soto played well for Falls City in the victory. The senior quarterback ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.
FC came into the game allowing 12.1 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Louise, which notched a 28-20 victory over Pettus in its previous outing.
Louise (1-8) will play a 1A-2 Region IV District 14 game against Woodsboro next week, while Falls City (7-2) will take on Runge also in a 1A-2 Region IV District 14 game.
