The Weber Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Davis, falling 58-26. While losing is never fun, Weber can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Davis is ranked fifth).
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylee Jugler, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Logyn Howell, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Davis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kendra Kitchen, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Kitchen hasn't dropped below four steals for four straight games. T'Maea Eteuati was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Weber's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Davis, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1.
Weber will square off against Farmington at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Weber is facing Farmington at the right time seeing as Farmington is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Davis, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fremont at 5:15 p.m. Davis is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
