Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Booker). They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Gibbs Gladiators on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Joshua Azevedo was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Booker is undefeated when Azevedo posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Kevion Carey was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Booker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory got Booker back to even at 9-9. As for Gibbs, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker will square off against Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gibbs, they will challenge Gulf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
