While losing is never fun, Gateway Charter Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1375th, while Trinity Leadership is ranked 613th).
Madison has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Gateway Charter Academy, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-9.
Madison strolled past Gateway Charter Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 63-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
