The Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 61-39 margin over Lakes. The victory was nothing new for Marian Central Catholic as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Marian Central Catholic was led to victory by Juliette Huff and Madison Kenyon. Huff scored 18 points along with five steals, while Kenyon dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Huff has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbey Miner, who scored four points along with five steals and two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Lakes lost, one person who can't be blamed is Madison Twarling. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emily Ovaska, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Marian Central Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Lakes, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13.
