On Friday, Clay County came up short against JAG and fell 57-45. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clay County has scored all season.
JaMicah Adair was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points for JAG. The match was Adair's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ladarrin Hooper was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Clay County and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for JAG, their win bumped their record up to 16-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clay County and North Laurel will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Laurel knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Clay County likes a good challenge. JAG is on the road again on Friday and play against Enterprise at 4:00 p.m. on January 5th.
