East Carter and Boyd County are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2017, but likely not for long. Boyd County never let Fairview onto the board and left with  a   10-0  win. Boyd County's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Not much got past  Brooke Jacobs, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Fairview off the board. Those six  innings set a new season-high mark for her.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jaycee Goad, who  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Grace Stephens, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 East Carter's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Boyd County, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
 Both  both teams just can't seem to miss. East Carter has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 14.3  hits per game. However, it's not like Boyd County struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 5  per game.
